The Billie Vliet Scholarship Fund

The Billie Vliet Scholarship Fund was created in loving memory of our therapist, Billie Vliet who worked for Phillips Fundamental Learning Center and Rolph Literacy Academy from 2006-2016.

Billie went through our teacher education program and lovingly changed many

lives. She always understood that learning to read should not be reserved for only families who could afford specialized education.

She taught Alphabetic Phonics and bonded with the students at Rolph Literacy Academy, changing our children's lives.

Scholarships are necessary for the continued education of children with dyslexia at Rolph Literacy Academy. Please make a gift of any amount to ensure the future of OUR children.

Transform a struggling reader into a child who recognizes their superpowers.

Gifts are tax deductible.

Billie received the 2013 Golden Apple awarded to  teachers who demonstrate creative teaching, and who develop programs for our youth and activities that add greater value to learning and have an exceptional attitude despite adversity.

Austin's journey from a struggling reader to a fluent student is journaled in this heartwarming video of a now successful reader.

Gifts to The Billie Vliet Scholarship have enabled over 60 children with dyslexia grow and blossom by attending

The Rolph Literacy Academy at Phillips Fundamental Learning Center since the scholarship was established at our annual

Garden Party event in 2016.
