Sign your child up for Reading Fundamentals:
a summer school literacy program for summer 2020.
Why It Works: Alphabetic Phonics was designed at Scottish Rite Hospital in Dallas, Texas, in 1975 as an intensive remedial program that focuses on the development of spoken and written language for children ages 5 and up who struggle to learn to read.
Who this is for: 5-12-year-olds who have not received any Alphabetic Phonics training and are struggling to learn to read
How: All teachers contracted for summer program are trained at FLC and are experienced using the Alphabetic Phonics program taught at FLC. Students advance through three levels of the Alphabetic Phonics program, and this summer program offers the introductory level.
