Ways to Support Fundamental Learning Center

As a not-for-profit, we use these donations to help spread literacy.
Let’s Face It. Face the fact that literacy problems are not going away. Face the fact that society is not keeping its contract to deal with low-literacy. And face the fact that there are real faces for the many people affected by this – real people with real needs, emotions, talents, and opportunities, who just need the right kind of instruction to make the difference for them.
Because of your generous support, good things have happened this year. FLC has…
• Trained over 500 preschool and classroom teachers.
• Tutored over 142 children in our center.
• Premiered a new documentary film, The Big Picture: Rethinking Dyslexia, in connection with the Tallgrass Film Festival. Airs on HBO Oct. 29.
But there is much more to be done. Together, let’s Face It – it’s up to us to make it happen. We can’t be patient with the literacy status quo. And we need your help to do it.
The theme song for this year’s conference was written by Alanis Morissette, called Guardian. The subject-matter is tough. It talks about children who have had to smile through pain, face inhumane pressure, and suffer the disappointment of broken promises. But it asks the critical question: Where was their watchman? Who will be their warrior, their angel, their guardian? And to that I say, it needs to be us.
So I urge you to be a little impatient and join us in this campaign to Face It. Your tax-deductable gift helps ensure we are able to continue to reach children who previously were falling between the cracks. We greatly appreciate your gifts. Don’t miss the “One Chance” opportunity to forever change the life of a child.
